KIZUNA trial KZ-2 begins in Reno and Kobe

ZNSI's second clinical trial of KIZUNA, a minimally invasive neural lace and relay linking a person's cortex to MUGEN, has begun at the KIZUNA clinical centre in Reno and at Tower Zero in Kobe.

KZ-2 follows KZ-1, a 2025 safety study of 18 participants, all of whom completed the study and 17 of whom asked to continue. KZ-2 will enrol 212 adult volunteers for 52 weeks.

Participants may withdraw at any time under Article 5 of the Harmony Charter, subject to the safe disconnection protocol. The trial is overseen by an independent board appointed by the Office of Harmony.
